The Views

Photographers love this venue, as you can be photographed with 3 castles from within its grounds – Edinburgh Castle, the ruins of Colinton Castle and of course, Merchiston Castle School itself! Pictured below is a couple with the Pentland Hills as their backdrop.

The Space

We hope that all our wedding guests make use of our fabulous grounds but sometimes the Scottish weather forces everyone inside.  Our facilities include the entire main school building that can accommodate all your wedding guests with ease.  There is no hassle of being moved from room to room to allow for setting up. 

The Personal Touch

As we can only host up to a dozen weddings each year, we have the time to plan with you your unique and individual wedding.  We appreciate all the feedback from our guests and leave the marketing of Merchiston to our guests with their testimonials.
