  Grounds for Marriage There are several reasons why Merchiston stands out as a wedding venue in Edinburgh: Views of 3 castles from within its grounds – Edinburgh Castle, the ruins of Colinton Castle and of course, Merchiston Castle School! Space – we wish that all weddings make use of our fabulous grounds but sometimes the weather forces everyone inside. Our facilities include several areas that can accommodate all your wedding guests with ease and still leave you beautiful areas for photographs. Personal touch – as we can only host a dozen weddings each year, we have the time to spend with you to come up with a plan and menu that is unique to you. We have a superb wine list at excellent prices. Alternatively, if you wish to bring your own wine, there is a corkage charge.
